Ireland

      Dublin
Above:  The mother of all of Dublin's churches is Christ Church Cathedral.  It was founded in 1030 on
what was then the southern edge of Dublin's Viking settlement.  The unusually large crypt, which dates
back to the original Viking church, includes curiosities such as a mummified cat chasing a mummified
mouse (both were trapped inside an organ pipe in the 1860s).
Above:  Solicitor's Row is a beautiful street lined with colorful offices.  I wouldn't
mind practicing law here!
Above:  A trip to Dublin is not complete without a visit to the Guinness Brewery. The massive brewery still
produces 2.5 million pints of stout
every day!
Above:  St. James' Gate pays homage to Ireland's most famous export and Dublin's most enduring
symbol, Guinness.
Above:  We visited the Guinness Storehouse, which rises seven impressive
storeys high around a stunning central atrium.  The Storehouse, which is
architecturally shaped like a pint of Guinness, is a suitable worship center to
the black and gold.
